Any Oppos try the Dollar Shave Club? I fly through razors because I have to shave my face and my head. Because bald guy. Wondering if it's cost effective.
Have a 510 for your time. Thank you.

Are you sure that isn't a Civic?
About the topic - I haven't tried them, yet, and like you am awaiting some real-world experiences.

Get yourself a proper safety razor
Cheaper and a better shave overall, you'll never go back

What Decay said. The razor can be expensive at first, but the replacement blades are cheap as hell.

Also bald guy although I don't always go to skin on my head.
The blades are Dorco. You might be able to do better than even DSC by buying bulk blades from Amazon.

I've only cut myself once. It's actually quite a bit easier to use than a straight razor with similar results.

Merkur seems to be the standard nowadays, but I use my grandfather's. Replacement blades can be had cheap either at pharmacies or online. I prefer Wilkinson Sword . One blade usually last me about 5-7 shaves.

Definitely a Civic, first generation I believe. Transverse engine (the 510 was RWD), and the hood opens the wrong way (the 510's hood opened conventionally).

Shave after a shower or have your face good and hot. A face doesn't like a cold shave. I only cut myself once and that was because I slid the blade sideways as I pulled it away from my face. It's pretty much impossible to cut yourself with these, but you can get the angle of shave wrong, and you either miss completely or have it angled to much and scrape the hair off your face causing burn. Like most things you'll get used to it quick.

I'm a 2 year subscriber for the mid level $6 blades, they're a life saver. I also use them to shave my face and head.

Well, I've been fortunate since I only shave one or twice a week.... I wear hats mainly then shave when it's not appropiate. they show up on time at a steady rate.

Just as good a shave in my opinion. Blades don't clog, can pretty much go through a full beard, cheaper, quicker shave.

I..... I'm going to look into this, clogged blades are a pain in the ass.

Save your money on that TV crap and go into DE shaving the right way - with quality equipment. I'm actually a straight razor shaver, but I still have a number of nice DE's, and after the initial investment in the razor, the blades are dirt cheap and will definitely save you $$$ over the long run.
The best place for info is at badgerandblade.com (where I'm also a member under the same screen name as here) in the DE forum.
(Beware, DE and straight shaving addictive - I now own enough straight razors that I could sell them and purchase a car.)

I use an adjustable Merkur and Feather blades. The upfront cost was probably 100 or so. But, that was last year and I probably won't need more razor blades for several more years.

I converted eight years ago and I love it! Don't forget a badger-hair shaving brush.

When I first started reading B&B and SMF, I went crazy with acquisition disorder. I eventually got it under control, though, and I haven't needed to purchase anything other than blades and aftershave for years!

That AD can be a tough one. Although I've been mainly a straight shaver for about 30 years, I still search for the "perfect blade" to this day. It's probably among the 800 or so I already have.
